Vitamin D3

The daily serving provides 2.5 mcg of vitamin D3 (100 IU).

Vitamin D contributes to the normal absorption and utilisation of calcium and phosphorus, maintenance of normal bones and normal function of the immune system.

In this complex it is combined with calcium and vitamin K1.

Vitamin E

The daily serving provides 10 mg of vitamin E.

Vitamin E contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

In the formula it complements vitamin C, selenium, zinc, beta-carotene and the flavonoid components.

Vitamin A

The daily serving provides 1 mg of vitamin A.

Vitamin A contributes to the maintenance of normal skin and mucous membranes, normal vision and normal function of the immune system.

Beta-carotene

The daily serving provides 1.75 mg of beta-carotene.

Vitamin B1 — thiamine

The daily serving provides 1.5 mg of vitamin B1.

Vitamin B2 — riboflavin

The daily serving provides 1.8 mg of vitamin B2.

Riboflavin contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism, maintenance of normal skin and mucous membranes, normal iron metabolism and protection of cells from oxidative stress.

In the formula it complements iron and the other B-group vitamins.

Vitamin B3 — niacin

The daily serving provides 20 mg of vitamin B3.

Niacin contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism, normal functioning of the nervous system and maintenance of normal skin and mucous membranes.

Vitamin B5 — pantothenic acid

The daily serving provides 5 mg of vitamin B5.

Pantothenic acid contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism and to normal synthesis and metabolism of steroid hormones, vitamin D and some neurotransmitters.

Vitamin B6 — pyridoxine

The daily serving provides 2 mg of vitamin B6.

Vitamin B6 contributes to normal protein and glycogen metabolism, normal energy-yielding metabolism, normal functioning of the nervous and immune systems and regulation of hormonal activity.

Vitamin B9 — folate

The daily serving provides 300 mcg of vitamin B9.

Folate has a role in the process of cell division and contributes to normal blood formation and normal homocysteine metabolism.

Folic acid is present in both parts of the complex.

Vitamin B12

The daily serving provides 3 mcg of vitamin B12.

Vitamin B12 contributes to normal red blood cell formation, normal functioning of the nervous system and normal energy-yielding metabolism.

Biotin

The daily serving provides 50 mcg of biotin.

Biotin contributes to normal macronutrient metabolism and maintenance of normal skin and hair.

Iron

The daily serving provides 14 mg of iron.

Iron contributes to normal formation of red blood cells and haemoglobin and normal oxygen transport in the body.

Zinc

Boron

Capsule No. 1 contains boron chelate.

Boron is included in the trace-element component of the formula. The label does not specify a separate amount of elemental boron in the daily serving.

Silicon-containing compound

Capsule No. 1 contains sodium metasilicate.

It is included in the mineral component of the formula. The label does not provide a separate amount of silicon in the daily serving.

Coenzyme Q10

Coenzyme Q10 is a naturally occurring compound found in cells of the body.

In Discovery Charm it complements the main vitamin and mineral composition of Capsule No. 1.

Rutin

Rutin is a plant flavonoid.

In the formula it is part of the flavonoid component together with hesperidin and dihydroquercetin.

Hesperidin

Hesperidin is a flavonoid naturally found, in particular, in citrus fruits.

In the formula it complements rutin and dihydroquercetin in the flavonoid component of Capsule No. 1.

Dihydroquercetin

Dihydroquercetin, also known as taxifolin, is a plant-derived flavonoid compound.

In the complex it is included together with rutin and hesperidin.

Silymarin

Silymarin is a group of naturally occurring compounds from milk thistle.

In Discovery Charm it is included in the botanical component of Capsule No. 1.

Papain

Papain is a plant-derived proteolytic enzyme obtained from papaya and capable of breaking down proteins.

In the formula it forms part of the enzyme component.

Bromelain

Bromelain is a group of proteolytic enzymes from pineapple capable of breaking down proteins.

In the formula it complements papain in the enzyme component of Capsule No. 1.

Vanadium

Capsule No. 1 contains ammonium vanadate.

This vanadium compound is included among the micro-components of the formula. The label does not provide a separate population reference intake value for it.

Silver

Capsule No. 1 contains silver sulfate.

It is one of the micro-components of the formula.

Calcium

The daily serving provides 199 mg of calcium.

Calcium is needed for the maintenance of normal bones and teeth and contributes to normal muscle function and normal neurotransmission.

In Discovery Charm it is combined with vitamins D3 and K1.

Vitamin K1

One Capsule No. 2 contains 0.06 mg of vitamin K1.

Folic acid

One Capsule No. 2 contains 0.05 mg of folic acid.

Beta-carotene

One Capsule No. 2 contains 1.25 mg of beta-carotene.

Together with the beta-carotene in Capsule No. 1, the daily serving provides 1.75 mg.

Bergenia

One Capsule No. 2 contains 50 mg of bergenia extract.

Bergenia is included in the botanical component of the second capsule together with chaga, maitake and gotu kola.

Chaga

One Capsule No. 2 contains 50 mg of chaga extract.

Chaga is included in the mushroom component of the formula together with maitake.

Maitake

One Capsule No. 2 contains 25 mg of maitake mushroom.

Maitake and chaga form the mushroom component of the second capsule.

Gotu kola

One Capsule No. 2 contains 25 mg of gotu kola extract.

Gotu kola is included in the botanical component of Capsule No. 2 together with bergenia and the other plant ingredients.

Para-aminobenzoic acid — PABA

Para-aminobenzoic acid, or PABA, is an organic vitamin-like compound sometimes referred to as vitamin B10. Para-aminobenzoic acid forms part of the molecular structure of folic acid.

In Discovery Charm, PABA is present in Capsule No. 2 at 50 mg per daily serving.

Discovery Charm combines:

• B-group vitamins;
• vitamins A, C, D3, E and K1;
• iron, zinc, iodine, selenium, calcium, copper, manganese, chromium and molybdenum;
• carotenoids and flavonoids;
• coenzyme Q10;
• enzyme ingredients — papain and bromelain;
• botanical and mushroom ingredients.

The main feature of the product is its broad two-part formula for women, divided between morning Capsule No. 1 and daytime Capsule No. 2 and designed as a 30-day program.

Discovery Charm contains a broad range of vitamins, minerals and other ingredients. Before choosing it, consider any other vitamin-mineral complexes and dietary supplements already being used in order to avoid unnecessary duplication of nutrients.
